What will
Barcelona be like in 150 years?
In commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Cerdà Year, all city residents
have had the chance to answer this question and these answers are contained in
the time capsule, which will be opened in 2159.
The capsule formally evokes the icon of the campaign’s graphic image by
combining symmetry and reflection. The passage of time is marked with an
encoded message that will make sense as its opening approaches.
The studio
was involved in the capsule’s conceptualization, in its development of design,
and it enhancing the feasibility of its production.
